Pete Burns has worked as a glazier for more than three decades, and runs Burns Glass & Glazing from Coventry as a sole trader. The work covers the whole of the trade: sealed units, single glazing and putty, toughened and decorative glass, leaded lights and shopfronts, plus the hinges, handles and locks that keep windows and doors working.
Locksmith work sits naturally alongside the glazing. A break-in usually means a broken pane and a damaged lock at the same time, which is why there is a 24-hour emergency boarding up and locksmith service.
Most of the work is in Coventry and the towns round it, though customers have booked Pete from much further afield, from Birmingham and Leicester to Northampton.
